Just Design It

With the addition of a sublimation printer, Rainbow Leather can now print any design, including pictures and unique images, onto any leather or fabric. The sublimation printer uses heat to transfer the image onto the leather or fabric, which creates high quality prints that are less vulnerable to fading and distortion. Forecast: Spring/Summer 2012 Trends

Rainbow Leather is always keeping up with the upcoming fashion trends to provide you with exciting, new designs. Trends forecasted for spring and summer 2012 include:

- metallic tones inspired by antique jewelry

- geometric patterns inspired by nature and architecture

- baroque patterns with an ornamental and antique feel

- animal prints, such a python and leopard.

- floral designs of many shapes and varieties

- earthy and nature inspired elements

Rainbow Leather has a variety of designs in line with upcoming trends. In addition to leather, we have many burlap, cork, and linens to choose from. In terms of color trends, pastel, neutral, earthy, and bright tones will all be popular. Lighter blues and navy, as well as leathery brown, are becoming more popular, and shades of purple will continue to be important. Bright colors will be especially popular in spring/summer 2012.

Rainbow Leather

Belts

The belt is the essential accessory to boost your look and image. Usually designers opt for trendy belts with lots of design, but the trend for this season is metallic belts. The studs and edgy metal add shine and texture to accessories. The basic colors in these belt trends are gold and silver but there are also metallic shades like blue and violet. Shoes
High Heel Platforms

While the last year was all about soaring heights with heels, this fall is about supporting the heels with platforms. These platform heels not only look chic and sexy but also are not as uncomfortable as stilettos. The colors that will be all the rage this season for high heel platforms sandals are bright colors like cherry red, fuchsia, turquoise, silver, gold, and yellow. Subtle colors like white, beige, black, grey, auburn etc will also be seen especially in early winters. Burgundy, coral reds, orange shades, sandals with blue tones etc will also be 'in' for fall. Platforms with leather or suede bows, and crocodile embossed platforms are big hits for the season, as well. This is what Macy's (especially the Paris Hilton brand), Valentino, Fendi, Olympia Maxine's collection of sandals, Nanette Lepore's, Gucci, Miu Miu showed in their fall collections.

Booties

Booties are not only comfortable, but also look chic and stylish. They can go with anything you wear, whether if it is a skirt, pants, jeans or even dresses. The last collections of Chloe, Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Versace, Louis Vuitton,Pucci, Marni, Calvin Klein and Nina Ricci present suede booties, booties with bows, with open toes. Although one may think that solid is the way to go, these booties look great in patterns (which can be seen below in Louis Vuitton's bootie). Rainbow Leather is known for its great patterned leather (See an example below-You can mix and match patterns). If you can't find an already made pattern that you like, custom patterns can always be made to suit the customer.

High Boots

Whether they're knee-high boots or thigh high ones, these tall boots are all over the ramps and in almost all the fall and autumn collections of designers this year. High boots in olive green, maroons, brown, black, grey, and even gold can be seen Louis Vuitton's, Prada's, Fendi's, and Chanel's, fall and winter shoe collections. As we have added new leather to our fall 2010 collection, Rainbow Leather Inc (RLI) is proud to announce the hiring of a new Senior Vice President. After an extensive search, Rainbow President, Rick Lipson, found an Executive capable of assisting him in charting and executing an aggressive growth and expansion plan needed to support the ever changing requirements of Rainbows elite customer base.

Ron Gallo comes to Rainbow Leather after an impressive career as a senior Executive at some of 7th avenues most prestigious corporations. His corporate experience, leading large, multi-faceted divisions were cultivated as a SVP/Division President at public company Donnkenny, Inc and mega branding house, Regatta USA, now a division of Chinese sourcing giant Li& Fung USA. In addition, Ron's brand building, sales and account management skills were honed as a co-owner of Standard Fashion, LLC, a company he co-founded with International celebrity Icon, LL Cool J, where they launched the Icon's namesake apparel lines, Todd Smith and LL Cool J. Prior, Ron spent 18 years as EVP at Rose Cloack, his family's 80 year old coat & suit company, which held the licenses for Bill Blass, Tahari, Nicole Miller and Regal. Ron's extensive experience, skill sets and industry contact base will prove to be invaluable as Rainbow takes its place among the industry's elite speciality sourcing companies.

Handbags

Natural materials and colors that evoke warm, reassuring, and protective feelings are in for this fall season. Multiple earthy brown shades, black, beige, white, light brown, fuchsia and warm red will be the frequently used colors in the handbag industry this fall. Since metallic and grunge are also in this fall, metallic leathers in earthy tones will be the perfect combination to create a vintage rocker-chic effect. Rainbow Leather's Turkish Empire and Rustic Chic design boards display the earthy, metallic leathers that are in this season. The lizard, copper metallic, spider distressed, and anaconda leathers are perfect examples where metallic meets vintage to create a warm, cozy but still exciting look.

Clothing

In the past, leather was usually limited to jackets and leggings, but this Fall we see leather used in all categories of product ranging from outerwear to dresses and bottoms. Instead of just using leather as a detail or embellishment, leather is the key component in many fall lines. Some designers such as Hermes and Gareth Pugh took leather dressing to new heights by creating all leather looks pairing jackets with pants and leather accessories.

Going Green!

Just as announced in the former newsletter, Rainbow Leather is going green !

Rainbow Leather creates beautiful leathers in many shade of greens, and now our factory is becoming greener too ! It took more than a week to Solar Energy Systems, LLC, one of the leading integrator of solar power in northeast, to install the new solar panel it had especially designed on the roof of the Rainbow Leather Factory.

This 32.76 kW solar photovoltaic system will generate approximately 37.000kWh of electricity annually and help save the planet. There are many benefit of using solar energy, including the generation of clean renewable energy that is better for the environment and the reduction of cost by about 50 percents.
Everybody at Rainbow Leather is very excited about the podsitive impacts this project will have at the factory and on the environment.

Lineapelle Show Bologna 2011

Rainbow Leather was at the Lineapelle show.

Three main trends for the fashion season 2012 2013.

According to stylists and producers at the show, tones of caramel, cameo pink, venetian red with a shade of rust brown will be standing-out. The Bordeaux, the darkest green and the dark brown will definitely be in fashion. A second trend will be mainly about animal prints. Lineapelle exhibitors were showing a wide variety of python, leopard and animal prints.

Another main trend will be about daring tones, from the rose-colored grey of the hematite to the darkest nuances of blue hematite.

The event, which occurs twice a year, is one of the most significant opportunities to view and discuss trends for the upcoming seasons.
